What a contrast to LA! I've spent a lot of time pretending to be Robinson Crusoe - fishing from rocks or lazing on near deserted beaches, before being treated to a native meal cooked in an earth oven.

Everyone's so friendly here. On my second day I went snorkelling. I'm an experienced diver, but I'd never experienced anything like this before - coral of every imaginable colour and swimming amongst huge, but surprisingly friendly, manta rays. I'm also going to learn to surf, so I can attempt the Cloud Breaker, a huge six metre wave in Tavarua.

Can't wait to see what my next destination brings me.
